Two Sides of the Same Coin

A Creative Generalist, as I see it, is that ideal state between deep specialized innovation and diverse wide-ranging ideation. Specialist and generalist activities both require considerable smarts and ingenuity. And the best fireworks are generated when the two approaches are somehow blended–in either an individual’s mindset or in an organization’s structure–and arranged to work together in concert.
